Founding attorney David Vander Ploeg established DVP LAW with the desire to create a law firm with personal, client-focused services that address the legal needs of victims seriously harmed by negligent conduct. David's working class upbringing explains this desire to help others. His father served as a police officer for over 25 years, and his mother as a social worker in the public school system. His parents instilled early on a desire to reach out and help others. As a personal injury lawyer, David is able to provide invaluable assistance to injured victims at a time when they are at their most vulnerable.

During his legal career, David has exclusively handled plaintiff personal injury cases. As a result, he has developed specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities that are tailored to personal injury litigation and maximizing client recoveries.

During his time working previoulsy at two Chicago personal injury law firms, David focused on catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases. David's efforts assisted in the recovery of multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts. David continues this tradition of success with his firm, DVP LAW, LLC.

David is married and resides on the North Shore of Chicago with his wife and their three children. He enjoys playing hockey and spending time with his kids.
